Staff Software Engineer – SAN FRANCISCO, CA
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with senior engineers to build data processing software in Java for analyzing terabytes of data in the cloud
- Design, build, and maintain a real-time API for data collection and ad serving
- Build key components of an auction/decision system with bidding, quality analysis and accounting
- Work on all aspects of software development including design, implementation, testing, deployment, tuning, and monitoring
- Support and troubleshoot
- Support and troubleshoot cloud-based backend data processing infrastructure
- Interact with customers to integrate the product with their games and applications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- BS in Computer Science (minimum)
- A solid foundation in Computer Science, particularly data structures, data processing, object-oriented programming, and software design
- Demonstrable sharp problem solving skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Expertise in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with SQL, JavaScript, Android, iOS, or Python a bonus
- Aptitude and passion for Big Data and distributed/parallel systems
- High energy “get-it-done” personality

Rails Application Lead – Ruby on Rails – SAN FRANCISCO, CA
We are looking for a full stack application engineer to own and lead the development of our Rails application. The PlayRM application is the centerpiece of our system enabling game publishers to utilize Playnomics data-driven insights to understand and act on the heartbeat of their game. The ideal candidate would be a master of end-to-end web development, including code architecture, data modeling, user interaction, JavaScript, and deployment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the design, development and operation of Playnomics’ Rails application(s)
- Build a friendly and flexible interface to keep up with the needs of a growing and diverse customer base
- Be a key contributor to the product direction including feature and design decisions
- Deploy and maintain live applications (e.g., run on ec2)
- Ongoing analysis, testing, and iteration in response to customer feedback/needs
WHAT WE WANT
- Expertise in Ruby on Rails programming and experience in LAMP-like development
- Experience with multiple deployed Rails applications
- Solid grounding in the fundamentals of mvc-based software engineering
- A commitment to test-driven development
- Experience with agile/extreme methodologies
- Ability to run with ill-defined specs and react quickly to shifting needs
- Previous startup experience (redundant with the previous bullet)
- Background or prior experience in online gaming is a plus

Quantitative Marketing Analyst – SAN FRANCISCO, CA
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead online marketing campaigns through analysis, optimization, and expansion
- Analyze large quantities of data to drive day-to-day business decisions and
determine future initiatives
- Conceptualize and initiate tests (bidding, ad creative, and landing pages) to improve key metrics across campaigns
- Provide Account Executives with detailed campaign analysis, including performance summary and optimization recommendations
- Leverage new technologies, services, automation capabilities, and/or vendor solutions that enhance marketing capabilities
- Become a “product expert” in our industry, understand the issues, new developments, trends, best practices, and competitive landscape
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- BA or BS, ideally with emphasis in business administration, marketing, advertising, computer science, economics, mathematics or related field
- 2+ years online marketing experience for high tech/B2B/B2C industry with proven track record of delivering results using creative optimization techniques
- Tactical understanding of how to build, maintain, optimize various forms of web advertising campaigns (rtb, display ads, SEO, Facebook ads) through the use of DSPs or other platforms
- Strong applied analytics. This means being extremely comfortable using empirical data to support marketing decisions; ability to glean intelligence and behavioral inferences from data
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to work efficiently with a wide variety of professionals
- Familiarity with retargeting, a/b testing landing page performance, advertising analytics platforms, and lead gen best practices
- Sharp problem solving skills and experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
- An interest in playing games, either online or off

Sales Director – SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Playnomics is looking for a Head of Sales to grow its global enterprise sales efforts. We are seeing unbelievable inbound demand for our product and now are looking to take that momentum and start generating new leads. This position will be responsible for qualifying, managing and closing all new business for Playnomics.

Using predictive, adaptive algorithms, we are pioneering the future of how games and loyalty programs find and keep the right audience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing all aspects of Playnomics sales efforts to large, medium and small companies
- Committing to and exceeding quarterly revenue targets
- Formalizing and institutionalizing the Playnomics sales process
- Building and owning the values of the sales team culture within the larger Playnomics culture
- Consistently exceed quarterly sales quotas
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 5-7+ years in a high performance sales team in a successful venture backed startup
- You should be at the point in your career where you can generate revenues with minimal support in addition to managing a team of sales associates that also generate revenues
- You should relentless, goal driven performer – who also knows the value of working with and leveraging a strong team culture
- You should be able to think strategically to map to medium term company objectives while being able to tactically generate short term revenues
- BA or BS, ideally with emphasis in business administration, marketing, advertising, computer science, economics, mathematics or related field
- Tactical understanding of how to build and maintain a healthy sales funnel
- Proven ability to manage and grow a sales team of up to 5-7 people
- Familiarity with some or all of the following sectors: marketing automation, ad-tech, web / social analytics, online / social / mobile gaming, social networking / engagement tools
- Sharp problem solving skills and experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
